| ANTIQUE CHESTS Our old chests are available from small table top decor items to large rice storage bins that doubled as daybeds. Most are made of teak, but other tropical woods are also included. Many have carved surfaces, while some have shell inlay or brass decoration. All of the chests have their origins with the Dutch that introduced them to The East Indies in the 17th. Century. Delightfully conceived, smaller ones may be stacked to make an unusual and attractive end table. Nothing can equal the appeal of old wood that evokes a long and varied past..
